loves instrumental guitar music and he truly appreciates the discipline
it takes to be successful as an instrumental musician. Joe Satriani
is at the top of Sam's greatest guitarist list and he calls Satriani
a guitar virtuoso. In October of 2004, Sam accomplished one of his
greatest goals when he met and spent time with Satriani in Columbus
before and after a concert at the Palace Theatre. "One thing about
Joe Satriani that I will never forget is that he is amazingly kind
and soft spoken and when I was talking with him he was so relaxed
and he was asking me as many questions as I was asking him which was
a lot of fun. Sam enjoys guitar playing by Joe Satriani, Jimi Hendrix, Slash, John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Dave Weiner, Stu Hamm, Steve Stevens, Yngwie Malmsteen and Kip Winger. |
